Thaye Yashoda – A Fusion!

Here’s a fantastic fusion of the Carnatic composition, “Thaye Yashoda,”, sung by Sudha Raghunathan, from the movie “Morning Raaga”, which is about a homely lady with an interest to fulfill her desire in accomplishing in the field of classical music; which she is unable to because of family pressures.

In the movie, she reunites with her son while singing this song on stage, thus fulfilling her desire too.

  1. I don’t know why but it’s awkward watching a lady standing and holiding a mic singing carnatic music as compared to sitting chaplangutti and having those standing mics. Nice song tho. 😄
